Trương Công Tùng
biography
Truong Cong Tung was born in 1986 in Dak Lak, Vietnam. He graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts University in 2010 with a degree in Lacquer Painting.
Intrigued by unexplainable occurrences, Tung draws a lot of his inspiration from spiritual culture, oral history and micro-history, bringing them into his works to continuously explore themes such as social changes, ethnicity, religion and politics. Having worked across oil, lacquer, pencil and photography on canvas, paper and film, recently Tung expanded his practice to video and installation.
